You wouldn’t put up sheetrock then not paint, or build a house then not furnish it. Then why create an outdoor space and not landscape!?

Landscaping a newly built outdoor living space is like the icing on a cake, it really brings the design cohesively together. We always recommend finishing out a project with landscaping rather than leaving bare dirt around your new outdoor space. Landscaping softens the hard patio surfaces and brings color and depth into the space. Planting both deciduous and evergreens will help bring color and textures throughout all seasons. Some of my favorite plantings include: Little Lime Hydrangeas, Shamrock Hollys, Emerald Green Arborvitaes and ‘May Night’ Salvia.

Homeowners trying to get the most out of their project budget often give landscaping a lower priority. It then gets pushed to the “honey do” list and never fully gets done. Or the homeowner has limited plant knowledge which leads to poor plant selection and placement. This can result in a landscape that is not complimentary of the quality of the outdoor living space.

Hiring a professional, like Land Tech, and working with our horticulturalist to design and install your landscaping ensures the plantings are placed in the right conditions, spaced appropriately. Plus it saves you the hassle of researching and buying plantings from a garden center.  We will work with you to choose plantings that will appropriately fit the needs of the space (sun/shade, screening, color, maintenance, etc), while also fitting with your personal style and budget.
