We understand that not everyone can visualize a design by a 2D drawing. Especially when it comes to making a big decision on what to do with your outdoor living area. We want our clients to feel at ease and not second guessing their decisions with a design.
Here are a few reasons why we choose to use 3D models for our clients.
Visualizing a Design Concept
3D models allow us to create a visual of the design of what the space would look like after completion. We create a model that replicates the client’s existing property and home, to give the most accurate depiction of what the space would look like. The model allows the client to get a better idea of the scale/ size of the space by incorporating people and furniture. This shows the client the space they will have to use at their leisure, like sunbathing in a lounger or grilling in the outdoor kitchen. The model also allows us to demonstrate the lighting during different times of day. This is important to show homeowners because of shade and landscape lighting opportunities.
Design Adjustments
We always meet with a client after the initial design is completed to walk the client through the design and gain their feedback. We then can make revisions as needed to the design or move to the next step of the project. There are many times where the client wants minor changes such as material color choices, adding more paver space, etc. The software that we use, allows for quick and easy adjustments that we can demonstrate in front of a client.
Helps Provides a Better Pricing Estimate
Everyone can appreciate the value of a dollar, and we want to give our clients the most accurate estimate for the cost of a project. The 3D software allows us to pull quantities and readjust dimensions to fit with a given budget. However, it’s important to remember that there are of course sometimes unexpected factors that can affect a project cost, but we try our best to stay within budget.
It’s Cool
We love to watch our clients’ eyes light up when they first see the model. Nothing is cooler than seeing a design that replicates their backyard. It truly helps communicate what their space would look like. Plus who doesn’t love being able to pan through a model equipped with visual movements of children playing or sounds from the waterfall? We can even load the model onto the clients TV to give them a ‘big screen’ experience. It brings the ‘wow’ factor that sells a design.
